Etched Pixels / Ultima N Gauge Catalogue 2016 L&NWR

The largest of the pre-grouping railway companies the London & North Western Railway owned the West Coast Mainline, routes throughout the North West, into North Wales and beyond.

L&NWR 30'1" Coaches

The L&NWR built huge numbers of these coaches, which lasted into the 1930s. The kit consists of a 3D printed shell, etched sides and ends, an etched nickel silver underframe with brass overlays, 3D printed detailing parts including interior compartments with seat shapes, gas lamp tops, gas tanks and vacuum reservoir, turned brass buffers, brass bearings, wheels on our new 13mm axles, and plastic torpedo ventilators.

To complete the kit you will need your choice of paint and decals, and suitable couplings (Peco NR-102 for rapido type).

UME1521: LNWR Six Wheel Lavatory Third Period: 23 : In stock, order, £19.95

To diagram 279. These were conversions of diagram 297, replacing the central compartment with a toilet. A small number had the compartments adjacent to the toilets upgraded to second class.

L&NWR Coach Scratch Aids (2mm)

A small range of coach kits for the 50ft L&NWR 50ft arc roof coaching stock. The kit includes the sides, floor, ends, ducket overlays, trusses, steps and etched bogie mountings. The builder will need to source suitable fittings, ventilators and bogies.

They are designed to use the roofs left over from the old Farish 'generic' coaches when converting them using the Ultima roof conversion kits. A 3D printed roof is also available as an alternative

Set of sides, floors, ends, trusses and etched details. These kits are designed as scratch building aids so you will need to provide roof, bogies and underframe detailing parts. They are designed to use the roofs left over from the old Farish 'generic' coaches when converting them using the Ultima conversion kits.

L&NWR Wagons

These are 2mm scale shrinks of the PC Models 4mm range. They are challenging kits that would best suit an experienced modeller. You will also need to produce a roof and source fittings.

UME1614: 21ft LNWR Horsebox Discontinued, £11.00

Etches only. Reduced from the PC Models 4mm etches. This kit builds an LNWR Horse Box. You will need other parts and also to build or obtain a suitable roof for the vehicle.

L&NWR Related

SCR14: District Railway Electric Locomotive Period: 23 : In stock, order, £15.95

Built by the District Railway in 1904 to haul LNWR through trains from Earls Court these locomotives usually worked in pairs back to back. When the LNWR traffic ceased they were temporarily used on circle line trains. One was then converted into a double ended shunter for Mill Hill Park depot while some of the others continued to haul LT&SR through trains until the second world war. The last survivors were scrapped in 1939.

This kit consists of a one part 3D printed shell, and a set of etched bogie side overlays. The kit fits the Bandai #4 chassis.
