Drg. 31874A, built 1930

The GWR built and kept these vans specifically for accidents. The 62ft design first appeared in 1890 and continued through the 1930s. This kit is based upon No. 174 which was based at Stafford Road Wolverhampton. DW174 (later ADM174W) was withdrawn in 1976 and survives today at Birmingham Railway Museum.

The kit consists of a fold up etched sides and floor, etched ends, solebars, footboards, truss frames, window bolections, bogies and doors, an aluminium roof profile, buffers, white metal castings, vents, bogies wire, glazing and screws.

You will need to provide four sets of wheels, brass bearings (use Parkside Dundas PN51 or 2mmSA top hat bearings) and your choice of couplers (mounts for a pair of Peco couplers are included) plus a bit of plasticard to produce the stove flue.
